I'm back...blogging that is. And hopefully this new blog will make uploading pictures much easier! Testing it now and then the plan is to put many random and unrelated pictures up!
This is the sweater I knitted for my sister's soon to be here baby. Isn't it super cute? Only took a couple of days to knit up.
Bridger asleep on the train- it was a LONG flight by the time we arrived to Frankfurt- we still had another 3 hours on the train. At least we got first class seats and had a porter waiting on us like no one's business. Evidently they don't expect tips here but we were freely giving them and got great service in return.
We were starving and tried to order something to eat. I ordered everyone this because the only word I recognized was salami.
It was nasty!!! It was the weirdest bread I have ever eaten. Kind of like bird food really- with these big seeds and no moisture. But some coffee saved the day. And because the porter loved us do much, he brought us sparkling wine for free-- too bad it was like 10 am in the morning and not really wine drinking time--- at least to us Americans.
Eventually, we made it to the place where we will call home for the next 3 years. Parsberg, Germany.
A place where the sun does not shine for months at a time- but the food and fun is going to make up for it (crossing my fingers).
